It’s no coincidence that the Montgillard artisanal cooperage is located just a stone’s throw from the wine road and the Cîteaux abbey. It was at this very location, 2000 years ago, that the Cistercian monks learned the importance of the soil in wine making. Working hand in hand with wine makers, the cooperage continues the search for excellence and designs hand-sewn barrels for wines around the world.
